Mario Nawfal, founder and CEO of Dubai venture capital company IBC Group, posted on social media that when he was talking with SBF about the collapse of FTX (interview to be released soon), SBF shared an unexpected story with him. SBF's former cellmate, former Honduran president Juan Orlando Hernández, was just pardoned by Trump. He was sentenced to 45 years in prison in the United States last June for drug trafficking and illegal possession of firearms.

SBF said: "I lived with Juan Orlando in the same prison block for a year and a half. I know him quite well. I am willing to believe we became friends. I can't think of any prisoner more deserving of a pardon; he was framed."

SBF spent a lot of time helping Hernández prepare for the trial and reviewing the relevant evidence. SBF said: "He is not a drug lord; he may be the most effective anti-drug cartel leader in the world. Juan Orlando is the most innocent prisoner I have ever seen, including myself." This pardon occurred a few days before the November 30 election in Honduras, where Trump supported Nasry Asfura, the candidate of Hernández's National Party.
