Market Recap: Major Gainers in U.S. Stocks

On Thursday, the U.S. stock market showed a mixed performance, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbing by approximately 100 points.

Neogen Corp (NASDAQ: NEOG) experienced a significant surge after the company released second-quarter results that surpassed analyst expectations and raised its full-year 2026 sales outlook. Neogen reported adjusted earnings of $0.10 per share, outpacing the projected $0.06 per share. Quarterly revenue reached $224.7 million, exceeding the anticipated $207.8 million. As a result, Neogen's stock soared 28% to close at $9.44.

  • Enliven Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ: ELVN): Shares skyrocketed 52.5% to $23.60 after the company shared early data from its ongoing Phase 1b ENABLE clinical trial for ELVN-001 in chronic myeloid leukemia patients who have not responded to or cannot tolerate current tyrosine kinase inhibitors.
  • MoonLake Immunotherapeutics (NASDAQ: MLTX): The stock jumped 32.6% to $14.98 following FDA feedback indicating the company could demonstrate substantial effectiveness for its hidradenitis suppurativa treatment without further clinical trials.
  • Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises Inc (NYSE: BW): Shares surged 21.1% to $7.17 after announcing Siemens Energy will supply steam turbine generator sets for an Applied Digital data center project.
