New York Fed Releases December 2025 Consumer Expectations Survey
The Center for Microeconomic Data at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York has published the December 2025 Survey of Consumer Expectations. The latest findings reveal that while households now anticipate higher inflation in the near term, their outlook for inflation over the medium and long term remains steady.
Expectations for finding a new job have dropped to a record low for the series, marking the second time in six months this measure has reached such a level. At the same time, concerns about potential job loss have grown. Projections for both household spending and income growth have shown little change compared to previous months.
