OpenAI launches "Healthcare Edition ChatGPT" to accelerate AI adoption in medical scenarios
PANews, January 9 – According to an official announcement from OpenAI, the company has launched the "OpenAI for Healthcare" product suite, enabling healthcare institutions to deploy AI to enhance clinical and administrative efficiency while complying with HIPAA requirements. The suite is already live in healthcare systems such as AdventHealth, UCSF, Cedars-Sinai, and HCA. Based on the GPT-5.2 model, the product offers features such as clinical documentation generation, evidence citation, institutional pathway integration, and role-based access management, and is not used for model training. The official statement says this move aims to empower large-scale, high-quality healthcare services with AI.
Yesterday, OpenAI launched "ChatGPT Health," supporting the connection of medical records and health applications.
