DeepSeek to launch next-generation AI model V4 with powerful programming capabilities in February

Foresight News reported, according to The Information, that DeepSeek will release its next-generation flagship AI model, DeepSeek V4, in February. This model features powerful programming capabilities. V4 is the latest version following the V3 model released by DeepSeek in December 2024. Citing two sources familiar with the matter, the report states that DeepSeek's internal preliminary tests indicate that V4 surpasses other top models currently on the market in programming ability, such as Anthropic's Claude and OpenAI's GPT series. DeepSeek plans to launch the V4 version around the Chinese New Year in 2025, though the release schedule may be adjusted based on actual circumstances.
