Delphi Digital: Major Solana Upgrade, Alpenglow Planned for 2026 Launch
Delphi Digital stated on the X platform that Solana is preparing a major upgrade called Alpenglow, which is planned to be gradually launched from early to mid-2026. This upgrade restructures the consensus mechanism and introduces two new components: Votor and Rotor. Votor uses a lightweight voting aggregation model, reducing theoretical finality delay to 100 to 150 milliseconds, about 100 times shorter than the original 12.8 seconds; Rotor optimizes the block propagation layer, with the fastest propagation time being 18 milliseconds.
