JPMorgan's trading division remains cautious about the short-term performance of U.S. stocks
Show original
On January 12, JPMorgan's securities trading division stated that the recent impact of the Trump administration on the independence of the Federal Reserve poses at least a short-term threat to the US stock market. News on Sunday night about the Federal Reserve facing a criminal investigation shocked the US market, causing stock index futures and the US dollar to fall, with funds flowing into safe-haven assets such as gold. Andrew Tyler, Head of Global Market Intelligence at JPMorgan, said that risks to the Federal Reserve's independence are capping the market's upside potential, and it is advisable to remain cautious about the US market in the short term.
