Spot Auto-invest FAQ

[Estimated Reading Time: 4 mins]

This article answers common questions about Bitget Spot Auto-Invest, including how it works, why a bot may fail to be created, supported funding accounts, investment frequency, fees, plan changes, and how to stop a running bot.

1. Why can’t I create a Spot Auto-Invest bot?

You may be unable to create a bot for several reasons:

  • You have reached the maximum number of active bots allowed under your account.

  • Your selected account does not have enough available balance.

  • Some assets in your account may already be frozen by open orders, so they cannot be used for auto-investments.

  • Your selected investment currency may not be supported for the assets in your plan.

Check your available balance, active bots, and account settings before trying again.

2. How does Spot Auto-Invest work?

Spot Auto-Invest automatically purchases selected assets at fixed intervals based on the amount, frequency, and allocation settings you choose.

After you create the plan, the bot places recurring buy orders according to your configuration. This helps you invest consistently without placing manual orders each time.

3. Can one Spot Auto-Invest plan buy multiple coins?

Yes. One Spot Auto-Invest plan can include multiple coins in a single strategy.

You can add up to 10 coins to one plan and assign an allocation percentage to each coin. The total allocation must equal 100%.

4. Which coins or trading pairs are suitable for Spot Auto-Invest?

If you are new to crypto, it is generally better to start with widely traded assets that have strong liquidity, such as BTC and ETH.

Choose assets that match your own investment goals and risk tolerance.

5. Which account can I use to fund Spot Auto-Invest in Classic Account?

You can choose from the following funding options:

  • Spot account only

  • Simple Earn Flexible account only

  • Both Spot account and Simple Earn Flexible account

If both are selected, the system uses your Spot account balance first. If that balance is not enough, the remaining amount is redeemed from your Simple Earn Flexible account.

6. What happens if I do not have enough funds when the bot is triggered?

If your available balance is insufficient when the scheduled investment runs, the auto-investment may not be executed as planned.

Depending on the product setup, the bot may pause until your balance is replenished, or the current cycle may be skipped. To keep your plan running smoothly, make sure your selected funding account has enough available assets before each scheduled execution.

7. Can I change the settings after the bot is active?

Yes. You can update your plan after activation.

You can modify items such as:

  • Coin selection

  • Allocation percentages

  • Investment amount

  • Investment frequency

  • Investment account

Changes take effect from the next scheduled auto-investment.

8. What investment frequencies are supported?

Spot Auto-Invest supports recurring purchases at fixed intervals.

Available frequencies may vary by product version, but supported intervals generally include:

  • Hourly

  • Daily

  • Weekly

  • Monthly

Check the bot setup page for the latest available scheduling options in your region or product view.

9. Are there any extra fees for using Spot Auto-Invest?

No. Bitget does not charge an additional fee for using the Spot Auto-Invest bot itself.

However, standard spot trading fees apply to each executed order. For details, refer to the Bitget fee schedule.

10. Which currencies can I use as the investment currency in Spot Auto-Invest+?

The available investment currencies depend on the assets selected in your plan.

11. What happens if a supported asset is suspended or delisted?

If an asset in your auto-invest plan experiences an abnormal event, such as trading suspension or delisting, the bot may be paused or stopped automatically.

Review your plan regularly and monitor platform announcements for important changes affecting supported assets.

12. How do I stop a Spot Auto-Invest bot?

Go to the Running bots tab, find the bot you want to stop, and select Terminate.

When terminating the bot, you may be given redemption options such as:

  • Automatic redemption: Auto-invest assets in Earn are redeemed automatically and credited to your Spot account.

  • Manual redemption: Assets remain in Earn and can be redeemed later.
