Bitget stock futures (also known as stock perpetual futures) are an innovative derivative product launched by Bitget, allowing users to use USDT as margin and settlement currency to trade stocks (or stock indices) with leverage, without the need to actually own the stocks. This product is built on tokenized pricing of real-world assets (RWAs) within stock indices, offering a flexible trading framework for investors seeking exposure to the stock market in a crypto-based environment. Below are the answers to some frequently asked questions:

1. What are Bitget stock futures?

Bitget stock futures are USDT-M perpetual futures that track tokenized indices of U.S. stocks, such as the weighted average of stocks from multiple issuers. It combines the flexibility of perpetual futures (such as no expiry date and funding rate mechanism) with the investment opportunities of traditional stocks. Users can go long or short on popular stocks, amplifying profits with high leverage.

2. How do Bitget stock futures differ from traditional stocks and futures?

• Trading hours: Traditional stocks have fixed trading hours (Monday to Friday, ET) and are subject to market closures and holidays. Stock futures trade nearly 24/7 with no market closures, providing you with uninterrupted trading potential.

• Leverage and settlement: Traditional stocks typically offer no or low leverage, settled on T+0/T+2. Stock futures support high leverage (up to 25x), are perpetual with no expiry date, and maintain prices close to spot indices via funding rates.

Ownership: Traditional stocks offer ownership and dividend eligibility. Stock futures are derivatives with no ownership rights, settled based on price differences, and denominated in USDT.

Fees: Stock futures incur transaction fees and funding rates, but the overall costs are relatively low.

3. Which stock futures are currently supported?

Bitget has launched over 30 stock-related USDT-M perpetual futures, covering popular stocks and indices, including:

Tech stocks: TSLA (Tesla), AAPL (Apple), NVDA (Nvidia), META (Meta), MSFT (Microsoft), etc.

Other popular stocks: COIN (Coinbase), BABA (Alibaba), PLTR (Palantir), MCD (McDonald's), LLY (Eli Lilly), CSCO (Cisco), PEP (Pepsi), ACN (Accenture), MA (MasterCard), UNH (UnitedHealth), QQQ (Nasdaq 100 Index ETF), etc.

Recently added: NFLX (Netflix), FUTU (Futu Holdings), JD (JD.com), RDDT (Reddit), etc.

4. What is the maximum leverage supported and how can it be adjusted?

The maximum leverage supported is 25x (some popular stocks, such as TSLA and NVDA, can go up to 25x, while some indices or lower liquidity futures are limited to 10x). How to adjust: In the trading interface, select Futures → set Leverage (1x–25x). The leverage can be adjusted based on position size; the higher the leverage, the lower the required margin, but the greater the risk. The platform will automatically adjust the maximum available leverage based on your position size. It is recommended for beginners to start with leverage between 5x–10x.

5. What are the trading hours and will there be market closures?

Our stock futures offer 24/7 trading services with no market closures throughout the year.

This means you can open or close positions and manage your holdings at any time, unrestricted by traditional market open/close times or holidays. However, note that during non-active hours of the underlying market (such as the corresponding U.S. stock), market liquidity and price volatility may vary. Always monitor your position risks and utilize risk management tools appropriately.

6. What are the transaction fees?

Stock futures transaction fees are similar to the regular USDT-M perpetual futures:

Maker: 0.02%

Taker: 0.06%; discounts may apply through promotions or VIP levels (BGB payments receive a discount). Additionally, there are funding rates (settled every 8 hours) with payments determined by the relative balance of long and short positions. The fee rate for stock futures is competitive, typically capped at ≤ 0.06%, with no concealed fees. View the detailed fee schedule on Bitget's fees page.

7. What are the risk control mechanisms?

Liquidation mechanism: Based on the mark price and margin ratio, positions are automatically liquidated when the risk rate reaches a threshold.

Price protection: No positions can be opened during market closures to prevent malicious manipulation.

Position levels: Leverage is linked to position size. High position sizes automatically reduce the maximum allowable leverage.

TP/SL: Supports one-click TP/SL settings.

Funding rate: Keeps the price close to the real index, reducing the basis risk.

Other: The platform has an investor protection fund. It is recommended to use lower leverage and manage position sizes prudently to control risk.

8. Who is suited to trading stock futures?

Users familiar with crypto futures but interested in stock trading.

Investors seeking 24/7 trading, no stock account required, and the ability to leverage high positions.

Traders who want to hedge their crypto portfolio or speculate on popular tech stocks or indices.

9. Quick guide to get started

Sign up or log in to Bitget, and complete the identity verification.

Transfer USDT to your futures account (free transfer from spot to futures).

Tap Trading or Futures in the bottom navigation bar of the app, go to the stock list, and choose the futures you're interested in (like TSLAUSDT).

Set a low leverage (5x-10x) and start with a small amount.

Use limit orders and set TP/SL levels to avoid slippage with market orders.

Start by practicing on a demo account to get familiar with funding rates and market closure rules.

Control your position size to 5-10% of your total capital per trade, and stay informed about announcements and risk warnings.

Monitor popular stocks like TSLA and NVDA, and trade based on crypto market sentiment.

Bitget stock futures constitute high-risk products, and margin trading with leverage could lead to total loss of principal. Invest rationally and only use idle funds to participate. If you have any questions, contact the customer service directly or check the latest updates on the official support center. Good luck with your trading!
