Spanish service sector expansion reaches highest level in a year this December
Spain’s Service Sector Ends 2025 with Robust Growth
Spain’s services industry wrapped up 2025 on a high note, achieving its fastest pace of expansion in a year, as revealed by the most recent PMI survey. The surge in business activity was fueled by a notable rise in sales, prompting companies to accelerate their hiring efforts. Optimism about future prospects also improved, reaching its strongest point since March of the previous year.
Despite these positive developments, inflationary pressures intensified. The cost of inputs climbed at the sharpest rate since September, driven by increased supplier fees, higher energy expenses, and mounting wage demands. As a result, service providers raised their own prices to offset these rising costs.
