Italian Services Sector Growth Slows at Year-End 2025
After experiencing its strongest surge in over two and a half years during November, Italy's services sector saw its pace of growth ease as 2025 drew to a close. Despite a continued robust rise in new business—reaching its highest level in 20 months—the overall expansion in output moderated. Business optimism waned, and there were indications that companies were hesitant to increase hiring, as the sector's growth remained modest, balancing existing capacity with current workloads.
Meanwhile, data on prices revealed that both input costs and selling prices rose at a gentler rate toward the end of the year, signaling reduced inflationary pressures.
