Henry Hub Spot Gas Prices 'Plummet'
Significant Drop in Henry Hub Natural Gas Prices
According to a recent analysis from EBW Analytics Group, Henry Hub spot natural gas prices experienced a sharp decline, falling to $2.86 per MMBtu on Monday. Energy analyst Eli Rubin noted that physical gas prices have plummeted, with the latest figures representing a substantial decrease compared to previous averages.
Rubin pointed out that in December 2025, the average price was $4.13 per MMBtu. The current rate of $2.86 is not only 45 cents lower than recent subdued physical prices but also marks a 14 percent drop during an unusually mild Christmas period. Regional price variations were also observed.
