Labor Market Trends in November 2025
During November 2025, both the employed and unemployed populations saw a reduction, while the number of people not participating in the labor force increased. Compared to the previous month, employment dropped by 0.1% (equivalent to 34,000 fewer jobs), particularly among women and individuals aged 15-24 and 35-49. Conversely, employment rose for those aged 25-34, and remained relatively stable for men and people aged 50 and above.
The overall employment rate slipped to 62.6%, reflecting a decrease of 0.1 percentage points. Unemployment numbers also declined by 2.0% (30,000 fewer people), impacting both genders and all age groups except those between 25 and 34 years old. The unemployment rate edged down to 5.7% (a 0.1 percentage point drop), while the rate among young people fell to 18.8%, down by 0.8 percentage points.
