EIA: US natural gas inventories down by 119 Bcf
Working natural gas in storage across the United States decreased by 119 billion cubic feet (Bcf) in the week ending January 2, compared to the previous seven-day period, to reach 3,256 Bcf, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) stated in its report on Thursday. On an annual basis, the natural gas stockpiles dipped by 123 billion cubic feet. Meanwhile, the figure was 31 billion cubic feet above the five-year average of 3,225 billion cubic feet. The total working gas was within the five-year historical range.
