US President Donald Trump kept his first Bitcoin-related promise made during his election campaign and pardoned Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht shortly after taking office.

After Trump officially pardoned Binance founder CZ, it remains to be seen whether this chain of pardons will continue.

At this point, the most crucial figure is former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Friend.

However, Donald Trump has no plans to pardon the founder of FTX.

Because Trump stated in an interview with the New York Times that he had no intention of pardoning FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried.

SBF was sentenced to 25 years in prison in 2023 after being convicted of seven felony counts related to the misuse of customer funds at FTX.

Along with SBF, former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison and former FTX Digital Markets co-CEO Ryan Salame also received prison sentences. However, the two received shorter prison terms compared to SBF.

While Trump has stated he is not considering a pardon for SBF, SBF’s family is hoping for a pardon from President Donald Trump for their son.

However, a pardon for SBF seems unlikely. Unlike Ulbricht, who enjoys significant public support, Bankman-Fried has not yet garnered widespread support for a pardon. Nevertheless, her family argues that her sentence is excessively harsh, given that many FTX customers have recovered a significant portion of their lost funds.

Besides SBF, it is known that former FTX executive Ryan Salame, who received a seven-year prison sentence, has also requested clemency.
