three major US stock indexes opened higher collectively, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 0.18%, the S&P 500 up 0.16%, and the Nasdaq Composite up 0.07%. Chip stocks broadly rose, ASML rose over 3%, Applied Materials rose over 2%, Intel, Broadcom, and Micron Technology rose over 1%.
