During the blockade, the number of Iranian-approved ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz increased.According to Odaily, the number of ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz and the strength of their transmitted signals are gradually increasing, although Iran is still effectively blocking most unauthorized commercial vessels. Based on tracking data compiled by Bloomberg, as of Monday, the weekly average of bidirectional transiting vessels has risen to seven, up from five last week. Although this is still far from normal traffic levels, the increase indicates that a small, selective fleet (mainly from non-hostile Asian countries) continues to pass through the port. By allowing friendly ships to pass while restricting Western ships, Iran's blockade has evolved into a powerful economic warfare tool. (Golden Ten Data)
