Labor disputes may disrupt Australia's liquefied natural gas export projects
```htmlGolden Ten Data reported on May 15 that Australia's liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry is facing the risk of labor action erupting at major export facilities, adding another layer of supply risk for Asian buyers who are already scrambling to secure cargoes due to supply disruptions in the Middle East. According to a statement by the "Offshore Alliance" union, a dispute over pay and working conditions involving maintenance contractor UGL Limited is expected to trigger labor action targeting Woodside Energy Group's Karratha gas plant and Pluto facility starting Wednesday. Meanwhile, workers at Inpex Corp.'s Ichthys project are also planning to go on strike; unless an agreement is reached at the final round of collective negotiations brokered by the Fair Work Commission on Friday, the strike will proceed as scheduled.```
